Food: Packaging and Recycling

Our food is packaged in a variety of ways, all of which have impacts on the environment.  

These resources comprise a set of informative teacher notes (including suggested learning activities) that run alongside a Powerpoint presentation filled with images to facilitate learning.  Aimed at Key Stage 3, but also relevant for Key Stages 2 and 4.  Areas covered:

  1. Why food needs packaging
  2. Types of packaging - impacts and solutions
  3. How and where we can recycle
